Hello, all, and welcome to Rossview High School! During this school year, we will be covering major works as well as short stories, speeches, poems, and informational texts. Students will be writing narrative, explanatory, and argumentative essays. Additionally, we will be covering and reviewing aspects of grammar. My teaching philosophy is based on the belief that reading and writing challenge us to think critically and creatively. Literature allows us to form connections between our own lives and the lives of others, resulting in a greater understanding of the human experience. I also aim to ensure that students can communicate effectively; a skill that will be valuable to them in whichever path they choose after high school.
